Jacqui Wilson
Jacqui made her stage debut in calisthenics at the age of 5. After making her way through juniors, intermediates, and seniors, she began teaching at the age of 16, spending the next ten years entering troupes in competitions all around Melbourne, and at the prestigious Royal South Street in Ballarat. During that time, she also began singing in a band, Idol Frets. This soon led to forming a duo, Bonnie and Clyde, performing around Victoria for the next six years, including recording an album and jingles for Triple M Radio Station. In the year 2000, Jacqui began a long and rewarding teaching career at Melbourne Dance Theatre, running classes in Music Theatre, Singing, and Drama. In the year 2010 she also began teaching Drama and Singing at Dance Power, and in 2012 she began running Drama Workshops for the Home School Education system. She has directed a long list of performances in musical theatre, including Annie, Oliver, Cabaret, Chicago, Maleficent, Grease, Mamma Mia, Hairspray, Charlie And The Chocolate Factory, Shrek, Santa Claus, Matilda, Moulin Rouge, The Little Bookshop, The Time Machine, Fosse, Mary Poppins, Frozen, The Rocky Horror Show, Once Upon A Time, Remember The 70’s, Gilligan’s Island, The Polar Express, The Wizard Of Oz, Fame, Cats, Jungle Fever, Peter Pan, Snow White, Flashdance, The Magical Faraway Tree, We Will Rock You, Chitty Chitty Bang Band, and School of Rock.
