Melissa Wilson
Melissa began dancing at age 5 and was instantly captivated by the beauty and elegance that ballet encapsulates. She was offered a full scholarship to train and complete her academic studies at The Victorian College of the Arts Secondary School where she was able to broaden her dance vocabulary and knowledge. Upon graduating in 2009, she was offered a contract with Victorian State Ballet where she performed as Senior Artist for the next six years. She simultaneously became a passionate dance teacher, teaching numerous styles to students of all ages. Prioritising her versatility, she has worked in the industry as a singer, actor, and model; gaining experience in catalogue, runway, commercial, and promotional modelling. Melissa is passionate about creating balance in life and making time for everything that ignites the soul. She has a keen interest in yoga, meditation, nutrition, physical and emotional health, and intends to focus her energy on educating young women on how to handle the pressure commonly associated with the industry. She believes that young women need to be nurtured through their training and prioritises confidence building in her holistic approach to dance education. She is extremely excited about embarking upon this adventure with her family and Rippleside Performing Arts.
